Hi. My Name is Bear

This is Bear, our 4 year old SynGap1 warrior! Bear was diagnosed in March 2020 following a genetic test to understand the type / cause of his epilepsy. He was diagnosed with epilepsy the year before. Like many SynGap children Bear struggles with sever speech delay, autism, behaviour difficulties, fine and gross motors delays and coordination and a shorter sleep cycle. We have struggled to control his seizures and are currently using a combination of Sodium Valproate and CBD patches. Bear has weekly speech therapy, OT therapy and PT therapy to help him master his body and improve his communication. Bear also has an older and younger brother who motivate him in different ways to acquire new skills!
