Hi. My Name is Ella

It was evident very early that Ella was missing major milestones in  her development. Ella’s initial diagnosis of “Global Development Delay”  was heartbreaking as we didn’t understand what that meant and the  future would hold for our beautiful girl. We entered the DDD study in  2011 and were told although we may never get any answers the info would  used to understand developmental disorders in the future. Ella went on  to display a lot of the characteristics of Austism and demonstrated  really challenging behaviours! 

Fast Forward 7 years of hospital trips, investigations and challenging behaviour, 

We received Ella’s Syngap1 diagnosis in July of 2018.

Challenges:  Autism, gross and fine motor skill delay, sensory processing disorder,  speech and language delay- non verbal & Transitions. 

Motivators: her ipad, cuddly toys, swimming (obsessed with armbands and would wear them Every day if allowed) 

Despite  her daily challenges she faces them with determination, she’s unique  and adorable and has an absolutely infectious giggle.
