Hi. My name is Oscar (4 Years Old)

Oscar is a 4 year old, characterful little boy who despite being  non verbal never fails to make us laugh! He loves nursery rhymes,  climbing (especially things that he shouldn’t), water and sensory  objects. Oscar’s latest love is being outdoors on a walk or even in the  car, he would be out all day if he could and is very disgruntled to  return home.

Oscar was diagnosed with epilepsy  near to his second birthday with the first visual signs being eye  rolling around 14 months old. Subsequently he was diagnosed with Syngap1  eight months later. He is currently on a ketogenic diet which has  helped reduce some of his seizures.  

Whilst  Oscar can present a challenge with his behaviour, he is generally a  loving and affectionate boy who loves to snuggle up under a blanket and  cuddle. We are very grateful for the light that Oscar brings and for  opening our eyes to the many different ways of learning and  communication
